In 1893, Abbas Hilmi Pasha was appointed as the Egyptian Khedive with the sultan's edict. In 1905, Abbas Hilmi Pasha went to Sarsala Bay near Dalaman with his yacht aman Nimetullah Abb. In those years Dalaman is a fertile plain with a small settlement on the beach. The hunting enthusiast Pasha, who sees this lush green plain with free hunting animals, is impressed by the area.
First, Pasha, who built a pier and a warehouse to Sarsala Bay, then built a road extending from the bay to Dalaman. He dries the marshes in the area and erects the eucalyptus trees he has brought from Egypt on both sides of the road. Pasha, the official owner of Dalaman who passed his ownership in 1874 and since 1905, from here to work in the land of Egypt and Sudan to bring citizens.
In 1908, Abbas Hilmi Pasha decided to build a hunting lodge for his beloved Dalaman. At the same time he plans to build a railway station in Alexandria, Egypt, where he is the governor. He gives the French construction work. But the French mix their projects. The ship that has the materials and projects of the Station Building, sends the ship carrying the materials and projects of the Hunting Pavilion to Egypt. The ship comes to Sarsala Bay near Dalaman and unloads its cargo.
