Dalaman is a district of MuÄŸla province. Dalaman International Airport is within the boundaries of this district. After Ortaca became a district, there was no connected town. There are 16 villages. Dalaman, which was previously the only municipality with the merger of the Atakent and Dalaman townships in the KöyceÄŸiz District, became the District with the publication of the Law No. 2963, adopted by the National Security Council, on 29.11.1983 days and in the Official Gazette No. 18237. The district is located in the southwestern part of our country, between the latitudes of 28 degrees 52 longitude and 36 degrees 44 minutes in the extreme region of the Western Mediterranean. District center elevation is 15 meters. The district has 16 villages.

30 km away from Dalaman, the remains of the Hippokome settlement, which was built on a hill in ÇöÄŸmen Köyü It Asarı Mevkii, may be of interest to the archeologist. In Hippokome, meaning Horse City, 6 rock tombs are found on the cliffs to the southeast of the city. The rock tombs in the southwestern part of the city are similar to those of Fethiye Telmessos; In the region called Kepezbaşı, there are remains of buildings dating to the Roman and Byzantine periods.
It is believed that sulfurous thermal waters are healing in Kapikargin District and Incebel Mevkii. Sulfurous thermal waters in Incebel are operated by a SPA and accommodation facility. There are beauty and care units, mud bath and sulfur water pool in the facility.
